Shielded cable can be a bit of a pita to terminate. This was pretty painless to use.

Works Great
really easy to use and fast. Sometimes the hinge breaks if you apply too much pressure. I usually order one more just in case.

A:Hello! Probably not. Most waterproof couplers are designed for patch cords that have 8P8C (aka RJ45) connectors attached, not field termination plugs. Rather than use a waterproof coupler, you may wish to get a waterproof direct burial or outdoor "splice box" that will accept two of these field termination plugs, combined with an indoor coupler, in line all at once.
